Board Of Commissioners Hearing Sept 1st, 2020 At 9 Am
The Board of Supervisors for Humboldt County, California is holding a virtual meeting that is open to the public at 9 am on Sept. 1st, 2020. The agenda will include the tiny home and movable tiny home ADU ( accessory dwelling unit) draft ordinance.
Dan Fitzpatrick, President of the Tiny Home Industry has worked alongside Mary Milner and Michael Richardson, the planners of Humboldt County to craft one of the most groundbreaking ordinances to date for tiny homes.
The Humboldt County Planning Commission reviewed the ADU ordinance and related amendments in a series of five public hearings, beginning in May and through July of 2020. At its July 23, 2020 meeting, a virtual meeting, the Commission recommended the following Drafts to the Board of Supervisors for adoption.

Great news for movable tiny homes. The Humboldt County Planning Commission last night recommended that the ordinance permitting movable tiny homes as legally habitable ADU’s, be approved by the County Board of Supervisors. The ordinance will go to the Supervisors next month for hearing and final approval.
