About The Builder: Kevin Dawson
Kevin Dawson is the builder of Mountain Creek Village Tiny Home Community, the founder of Amstar Design Group, founded after the collapse of the housing market in the late 2000s.
After over twenty years in the home building industry, he realized that the demand to purchase a new home was at an all-time low. People would rather improve their home than move to a new one. And thus Amstar Design Group was born.
Throughout his career, Kevin has personally overseen the building of more than 300 homes across Central Florida and countless more remodeling projects. He has always upheld the highest possible standards when doing any project no matter the size and that remains true to this day.
In 2015 Amstar Design Group started to expand from the Central Florida area and started operating in the Smoky Mountain area of North Carolina. Through their expansion in North Carolina, they have done full home remodels, commercial and restaurant remodels and even built a community of yurts designed for glamping.
A lot has changed since we started over ten years ago. Amstar has branched out to multiple states, entered the commercial and hospitality markets, and has completed countless projects of all sizes. However, one thing will remain constant, their pledge to provide the best service, using the best materials, to help make your house a home.
Andrews, North Carolina: From The Chamber Of Commerce
Nestled in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, is a wide scenic valley where the sun rises and sets over the tree-topped mountains, and the cool clear streams flow gently down the ridges. Andrews, North Carolina is a small town virtually untouched by large city influences and remains a place to enjoy a more leisurely pace of life.
Come by and sit a spell and imagine yourself rafting, hiking, fishing, or biking. Take a ride on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad or gear up for the annual WNC Wagon Train. Stroll down Main Street and shop for antiques, clothing, furniture, and unique gifts. You may decide to go bike riding in the Nantahala Forest or whitewater rafting down the Nantahala River. Numerous hiking trails will satisfy your need to view the vistas, from easy to the most difficult. The fishing is great whether you decide to fish one of our rivers, or on one of our lakes. Ride your motorcycle on the Tail of the Dragon a short distance away. We will show you a good time!
This is the place to lay back, kick off your shoes, wade in the creeks, jump in the river, sing, dance, and enjoy the hospitality of the mountain people. Andrews, NC…the little town in the heart of it all.
Try Before You Buy
If you would like to try before you buy and you need lodging when you come to see the lots, we can arrange that you stay in a cottage or yurt nearby that he built.
I will be adding more details soon including the plat, possible floor plans, and renderings of the cottages.
