Oregon Tiny Home Grant With Dream Savers NeighborWorksUmpqua!

First Tiny Home Built With IDA Grant Funds In Oregon

Dave Bates, the builder has just completed a cabin for a great customer who had all the stars aligned to help him, because he is an Oregon resident and he discovered a grant program that was able to help him with his down payment! It is available in the entire state of Oregon and it is such a wonderful opportunity. This is a grant and HE DOES NOT HAVE TO PAY IT BACK! . This cabin was the first tiny home funded by this program and they will be filming a video on the cabin after it arrives which will be soon.

This is such exciting news for so many deserving people who just need a little help. A lot of our customers have great credit and they cannot wait to get to get started on their tiny home and the only thing that is holding them back is getting the money down. Help is here for Oregon residents that qualify.

The program is being offered by NeighborWorks Umpqua, a private rural 501(c)(3) organization established in 1991 to develop affordable housing for low and moderate income residents in Douglas County Oregon.

They  began as Umpqua Community Development Corporation, with thedevelopment of the first affordable multi-family rental housing complex in nearly 20 years. In 1999, theyadded community-based economic development to theirmission.  In addition, we expanded our service area to include Coos and Curry counties.

In our 20+ years, they have met the housing and economic goals by creating five major business lines which overlap:

  • Affordable Housing Development
  • Education, Training, and Homeowner Assistance
